About the event

[Visit the Event Page to access some curated content and the Pre-Event Q&A which will open on 10th December]

Your career is really about what you have to offer as a professional now and what you will be able to offer in the future. Any opportunity to reflect on your experience allows you to explore this proposition.

Writing a resume to access a new opportunity, writing an end of year performance self-review or self-appraisal or setting performance goals for the new year or cycle, all of these activities present perfect opportunities to reflect on what you have to offer and realise how capable you are. If approached in the right way, these activities can help you discover, develop and leverage your core value proposition for success in current and future roles.

The program experience is based on digital learning content, supported by the "career optimiser" group and optional, but recommended, coaching.

Access to the digital content is via the Career Optimiser Application (click to open the webpage, register a free account and access the LMS).

The digital content has three parts. Each part requires you to demonstrate an understanding of the principles by applying them to assignments that are included in the digital package. The assignments serve as a way to assess your ability to apply the concepts and prompt questions and discussions in the program.

  • Part I: Professional Activities - understanding roles as a set of common activities that can be mastered and what developing mastery means
  • Part II: Domains of Expertise - understanding different types of domain expertise as the key requirement for solving problems and demonstrating value in any role
  • Part III: Competencies - understanding what competencies mean in relation to the ability to respond to the demands and expectations of any role, deliver results and solve problems, master activities and develop required domain expertise
